Based on "performance, influence, and exposure.."
1. Shedeur Sanders - $5 mil
2. Arch Manning - $2.8 mil
3. Caleb Williams - $2.7 mil
4. Jayden Daniels - $2.2 mil
5. Travis Hunter - $2 mil
Huh?
So NIL worth is about name recognition mostly like any media driven market...Deion should be killing it on the recruiting trail if he talked about about more people than his son.

With over 2 million followers on social media, Sanders has signed several deals with big brands, including Oikos, Gatorade, and Mercedes-Benz. According to On3, Shedeur Sanders’ NIL deals are valued at $5.1 million. He is believed to make up to $10 million in NIL deals in the future, which is more than three times the average NFL player’s salary.

Technically, that’s how it’s supposed to work. Players are supposed to be getting paid based on their name, image and likeness. Kids with “bigger names” should get paid more.
Problem is that “collectives” are not really interested in it for marketing purposes, they’re using it to attract kids to certain schools. That’s why it’s a muddled mess.

This is what I'm interested to see. There is zero shot a lot of these athletes are reporting it correctly. I always assumed bags went through gift taxes, but this is reportable under different standards.

I hope the irs gets very heavily involved with all of that nil garbage. As another poster mentioned, there is absolutely no way some of those kids and their handlers are properly reporting any of that.

Well unless Get Gordon or whomever is paying them wants to make them a W-2 employee, then the athletes and/or their parents/advisors need to be helping them with that.
And yes, I do hope the IRS collects on what is due. Some of these athletes want to be treated more like profession athletes and care zero about the student portion, so let the IRS introduce them to real life.

For the millionth time, the On3 NIL "valuations" are based in nothing but speculation. They do not have their NIL contracts. These are 100% complete guesses based on amount of social media followers.
I don't understand how people keep posting these like they mean anything.

You literally sound like full on "Eat The Rich" communists with these gay comments.

quote:is such an absurd thing to say. You have grown men hoping teenagers "get what they deserve" because they're making a lot of money playing college football for a team you don't like.

When you don’t like NIL, you hope no one gets it, even if they do play for teams you like
