In its 3rd season, the Stallions are 31-3 and currently undefeated this season. The 2-time champion and currently 5-0 Stallions just ran roughshod over the roughnecks of Houston 32-9.

Greatest professional football city in the world. Birmingham teams have won 30% of the championships and only had one losing season in the last 50 years.

Skip Holtz has been doing a magnificent job, especially with the QBs.

I understand why no major college program has plucked him, but an NFL team should give him a shot as an OC.

That whole UFL setup is stupid. Our team lives and practices in Arlington, TX, and then flies here to play home games. Seems dumb. Why have a team basically based out of Arlington, TX use our stadium, for lack of a better word, and that's it? There's no way to build any sort of community connection. Basically... it's... oh... that team from Texas is playing this weekend. Awesome. Now back to our regularly scheduled activities.

The pre-merger version of the USFL was light years better. In my opinion.

Fun fact: Gerry DiNardo, original XFL Birmingham Thunderbolts’ coach, had the worst W-L record (2-8) in XFL history until the recent revival(s).

Yeah well, we'll see what they're made of when they face St. Louis a couple weeks from now.

Stoops at 0-5 is staring a 0-10 season in the face right now. He wouldn't have a worse winning percentage than GD but his regular season record w/XFL/UFL is now 6-14. Losing out would put him at 6-21 in the regular season which is .220 to Gerry's .200.

The only saving grace for his time coaching in spring leagues is he fluked his way into winning the XFL last year due to their idiotic rules that split an 8 team hub league into divisions. His 4-6 Renegades backdoored their way into the XFL South championship game while AJ McCarron's 7-3 St Louis Battlehawks had to sit at home.

Not enough unfortunately but it's not competing against the NFL. Competing with the NBA, NHL and college baseball/softball right now. Not doing too bad on Sundays for what it is.

The UFL has averaged 906k viewers per game heading into Week 4. United Football League games on all networks are up +45% over last year’s regular-season average across the USFL and XFL (611k).

LINK

This year’s numbers are roughly in line w/what AAF, XFL 2.0, and USFL 2.0 did when they had no other spring football competition. The tv numbers have always been good enough according to each league’s own stated goals. The issue every time are the league owners willing to eat the startup losses for the minimum 5 years it would take to really establish themselves or are they going to spook when they realize you can’t start a new league and get instant profits.

Critics need to see the UFL for what it is: a bridge to college football and the NFL.
