On November 29, Schott stated that she felt that Adolf Hitler was initially good for Germany and did not understand how the epithet "Jap" could be offensive.

Marge Schott may have owned a team that won a world series. However she did the following for the 90' Reds:

1. Was pissed that they swept the A's since she would miss out on the revenue from additional games in Cincinnati.

2. Canceled the post-game celbratory catering forcing them to get stuff from Carl's Jr.

3. Berrated the manager and players on the plane ride back to Cincinnati.

This bitch wasn't just dumb; she was a vindictive, cruel, and cartoonishly racist. I mean how much of a bitch do you have to be to praise Hitler to the press on MULTIPLE occasions.

That is insanely mild. You shouldda heard my grandma from the Great Depression generation. Everything else, n-word was unsubstantiated hearsay.

I mean the Hitler statement is pretty well true economically, and Jap is short for Japanese. Some millennial will quote this and laugh, but it's difficult for the people who grew up in a time before PC, with real free speech, to understand why they can't say things just because they can't and they just can't.

And that whole rule PC rules just started out of nowhere. Watch tv from the 70s. The Jeffersons, All in The Family, friar roasts. Chevy Chase can call Richard Pryor the n word on live tv and no one cares. That shite came completely out of nowhere in the early 90s. Eddie Murphy viciously made fun of ****s with the #1 special just a few years earlier. How is some old codger from the Depression supposed to adjust?

Agreed, and now it’s all context. I could call someone “amazing”, but if I ruin the context, it’s a bad word suddenly.

Anybody familiar with the slightest bit of military history should understand that Hitler, for a time, was a tremendous leader. He was charismatic, obtained followers, expanded his ideals, and expended the borders. Now, the manner with which he achieved this is what made him one of the worst human beings in world history.

One day in 20 years someone will tell you "bro" is offensive and you won't understand why. Margie will look down and laugh

Half of your post count is laughing emojis. You need to step it up. Don't go through your life low effort.

Not unpopular with me at all. Marge gave a shot about winning and those young formative years in my life are why I'm a Reds diehard today. Castellini and aon can go jump off the Purple People Eater.

4. Eric Davis broke his leg in Oakland. She left him there to find his own way home.

Davis responded by taking the high road. He was one of the few baseball people to attend her funeral.

Larkin once told a funny story about one of her dogs using the 2B infield dirt before a game.
