Do they extend him for 55+ a year or just take the massive hit and cut ties? Its crazy to think either option is terrible for Dallas but great for everyone else. If they pay him it hurts their ability to sign Lamb and Parsons. He is a regular season champ and a postseason chump.

I would love to see an NFL team blow it up like the Marlins do every so often. It just looks like Dallas is in a Lose/Lose situation.

If he walks he will want 50+ LINK /

With who's getting that, he clearly should want it and will get it from some team.

As someone who hates everything about the Cowboys, I hope they keep him forever.

Anyone else starting to get peeved at these exorbitant salaries? Covid resulted in massive inflation, yet most middle class salaries remained the same. Meanwhile DJ moore, a slightly above average WR, just got paid more than Drew Brees’ largest contract 10 years ago. Joe Burrow’s QB draft class is making like $1B collectively. These salaries are just such a joke, these dudes are not worth more than $100M-$200M. It’s insane.

They would be fools to give him another contract, so that means Jerry will probably go ahead and do it. He was won NOTHING!

The cowboys won’t win shite until Jones dies and they get a GM.

If he is still that after this season, then he won’t deserve a big contract with them. It’s a go & earn it season for him.

Not sure if the QB (and WR) market is truly indicative of the value or teams are just absolutely terrified of being without one.

It’s hard to say that when the teams continue to elevate in value rapidly and make a ton of money.

Let him walk and draft a guy with a slotted salary.

Dak gets paid elsewhere and is an upgrade over about half the starters in the league.

Let him walk. Use next offseason to rebuild your roster, use a stopgap bet for 2025, build up in free agency in early 2026 and draft your next QB then.

How do you know you’re going to pick someone as good as or better than Dak? He’s a top 10-15 QB.
Dallas is in a bad situation. Probably just best to pay him
