All this talk during the CWS about the bats made me wonder what the most powerful bat ever made is?

probably something from 1997

The 09 bats won't make too much of a difference in the CWS unless they're rolled.

I think Eddie furniss used that gold tpx

Its very hard to roll a baseball bat with the angle of the barrel. Softball bats are much easier.
Some of the original composite TPX Omahas would get firecracker hot. Lower seamed balls had a something to do with it too.

Whichever bat the great Puig is swinging!

From 95-97 Easton put out the C-Core, Z-Core, Reflex and Redline. Those are the bats that made the NCAA change the standards.

Z-core was out after 97. The bats were -5 at one point, they lowered them to -3 while I was in HS. Not sure what they are now. TPX Omaha is the best bat I've ever used. Easton Conexion was good too

They can be beat against telephone poles though

That's what made those bats so deadly. You'd get a guy like Brandon Larson swinging an extended barrel 34-29. Insane.

Yeah they also deadened the bats. The only reason not to use wood now is economic. The 2001/02 TPX Omaha was the shite. Had the "ping" sound to it. The Easton connexion sounded more like a wood bat but was solid. Those two were basically all anyone swung back then; marruci, demarini, and nike were fringe bat companies

I wish I would have swung the C-core or whatever that my team was big on back in the mid-90's. I always used my Easton "Black Magic". They were all -3 back then, I think but they had the 2.75" barrel vs. the 2.625" that you see today.
I based my decision purely on looks.

Black magic was a good stick
I remember people who had them only let really close friends use them

Easton Reflex. It's the bat that Warren Morris used when he hit the HR to beat Miami.

I dunno what this is. I quit paying attention to them when I quit playing.
Easton Reflex and Redline were good, but when the z-core came out they became obsolete.
