Why didn't the NCAA schedule the FCS championship game today?

Was scrolling through the schedule and saw the FCS National Championship Game is scheduled for 2 p.m. Eastern tomorrow...right in the middle of the final week of NFL games.
Why wouldn't you have it today, with no competition, as the lead-in to the Ravens-Steelers game? Seems like it would've easily gotten more viewers that way. Is this how they usually do it?

My guess was ABC/ESPN had 2 NFL games today and so set it for tomorrow.

I asked myself that too when I checked the scoreboard. This afternoon would have been the perfect time. But now it will get buried amongst the NFL tomorrow. I don't get it either.
