That's not a given. Some guys fall off a cliff in their 30s, some age like fine wine and others are somewhere in between. We don't know where Judge will land on that spectrum but given his body type and injury history I wouldn't assume he hits any major counting milestones.

As far as that Yankee mystique is concerned, a lot of that has been based on postseason success. The Yankees won 26 World Series in 75 years and their star players shone brightest on the biggest stage. Judge has never played in a World Series and he's batting .198 (.718 OPS) in the ALDS and .200 (.703 OPS) in the ALCS.

He does have that "most feared hitter of his era" mojo going on though and that will definitely propel his resume.

He hasn't won shite in nine years. Nope

Ah yes, baseball, the sport where an outfielder can win you a world series on his own.

In his 14 year career, Mike Trout 1-12 in 3 playoff games (all loses) and he will be a first ballot HOF.

If he doesn’t get hurt he will get to 500 easily lol

If he wins a 2nd MVP he will be a HOF lock

I know, it just seems like he's a late bloomer who will last longer than guys like Stanton. He could absolutely fall of a cliff, like Stanton. I just don't see it happening given his approach at the plate.

Eh he's averaging 136 games per season not counting COVID or his rookie year.

Of his serious injuries, only one is actually concerning.

2018 - Broken wrist after HBP
2019 - strained oblique (concern)
2020 - calf strain (I kind of throw 2020 out for all sports. Hold that against me if you choose).
2023 - torn toe ligament after running into a wall

With this I'm talking strictly all-star appearances. I think he gets a push there.

Well Trout has been better over his career but the last 8 season Judge has been better.

At the same age, Dale Murphy had 1700 Hits, 335 HRs, 1100 RBI, 150 SB, 2 MVPs, 5 GGs in CF, 8 All Star games and a glowing reputation as the "nicest guy in baseball" and he didn't sniff the HOF.

I think Judge will mash his way in, but it's not a given.

Murphy had played in 732 more games through his age 32 season (came up at 20) & Judge still is +4 WAR on him

Judge is a wayyyy better player than Murphy was considering the gap in games played

You’re counting on him staying healthy and he wasn’t able to do that in his 20s and early 30s so I doubt he will do so as he moves into his mid and late 30s.

That’s not an if. It’s a when, how often and how severe. Like I said there is a scenario where he plays until he’s 40-42 with 3-5 part time seasons in there just so the Yankees can sell that 500 club merch, but most voters will hopefully see through the bulls hit and keep him out.

Most players who have 50+ career WAR (per Baseball Reference) are in the Hall of Fame. Judge will almost certainly hit that number this season.

Judge will get in even if he stopped playing with Murphy type numbers. One word… Yankees.
