I actually like the more unique ones. Bulldogs and Wildcats and other generic names, to me, are the "worst" ones (I'm not including Tigers because obviously that mascot name is awesome

They are actually the Statesmen now...But the mascot is a piece of Okra...
For Actual mascot names it has to be Boomer and Buddy Bear from SMS/Missouri State...they look like the old Hamm's Beer Bear and Yogi Bear.

Delta State is officially the Statesmen, the okra is an unofficial nickname, but the school embraces it, and I will agree that the Wonder Boys of Arky Tech is the worst.

Belhaven College in Jackson, John Brady's Alma Mater, was called the Clansmen until the mid-80's. They were forced to change the name to adhere to political correctness, even though the name had nothing to do with the KKK.
