Wrigley field seating Recommendations

Taking wife and 3 yr old to
Cubs game, he loves minor league ball games so we’re taking him along on a work trip for a quick stop in Chicago. Any recommendations on seating choices would be appreciated, not overly worried about cost but don’t want to overspend paying premium for tickets that aren’t worth it.
7pm game looks like temps in high 70’s so not overly concerned about shade.

Outfield/bleachers are my favorite. 1st base down low is good too.

Whatever you do, don’t sit deep in the covered/shaded seats behind home plate through to the outfield. You can’t see shite, doesn’t even feel like you’re at the game.
Like here, absolute dogshit seats, worst seats I’ve ever had at a sporting event.

Go to the South Side. The Sox are more family friendly.
Full disclosure, I am a Sox fan who believes the Wrigley experience is one of the most overrated in sports, but I'm being serious in regards to the wife and kid.
ETA: Old Comiskey's home plate is still in the lot north of the current ballpark. So you can stand in the box where Shoeless Joe, Eddie Collins, Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, and all the other AL HOFers stood for 80 years.
ETA 2: The Sox have played in the same neighborhood longer than any team in American pro sports. If you walk south on Princeton Ave, and hang a left into the projects there, you should find a baseball diamond. That's where the old South Side Park stood where the Sox beat the Cubs in the 1906 World Series, and the Negro Leagues basically started.

I had Cubs Season Tickets from 2013-2019 and sat in SEC 137, which was changed to SEC 129 in 2019. If I didn't use my, Seats I Loved the Bleachers. However, I would not recommend sitting there with a child... The crowd can be rowdy and there are no backs to the seats. I'd recommend sitting anywhere in SEC 3-38, SEC 101-134, or SEC 203-232. If you choose the "200" SEC, don't get seats beyond ROW 6, because post may obstruct your view. Enjoy the game and Go Cubs Go! Here is a 3D Seatmap of Wrigley that is very useful: LINK

How serious are you about watching the game? If you want to watch the game then avoid the bleachers. The Bleachers are a party and you'd find a lot of people there don't really care about the game. With a 3 year old the Bleachers could work since no one will really care about the 3 year old and what 3 year olds do, but the Bleachers are not as family friendly. Also seats along the outfield tend to be more about partying as well. Lower level right field and left field can be good places to watch the game. The more expensive and better the seats the more they tend to care about baseball there.

If it's going to be hot I will make sure I am shaded somewhere in the 200 section just in front of the beams.
Otherwise there is no real difference between the stadium and anywhere else unless you want to be in the bleachers.

The 400 level is very underrated. I always pick the first row of the 400 level. Shielded from elements. Never in the sun or rain.

he will probably find a lot more than a baseball diamond in the projects in the southside of chicago

I have lived in both Memphis and New Orleans I have no need to visit the south side of Chicago.
Thank you to those who offered some genuine advice he’s like any 3 year old. Enjoys game but needs some snacks and entertainment. Going to hit the ballgame first night got a meeting in Southbend second day then have almost a full day before we fly back, probably going to aquarium or something similar before we head home.

Get to the park an hour or two early. There is a bunch of things for kids to do on Clark st side (left field side)

I have 4 season tickets in Section 408, Row 4, Seats 9,10,11 and 12. Great view of the entire field from the 3rd base side.

Bleachers are easily the most fun and entertaining. Gonna be more expensive than a lot of other areas in the stadium though, and maybe not great for a 3 year old. Otherwise go 300 level and you’ll have a great view of the city

I love those seats that are down the foul lines, in the outfield but face the infield
next time I go I want to sit in either 3/4/5/6
