I just find it interesting:

eta: I watched "Wonderful World" with Matthew Broderick last night... a decent if not great movie... Shreveport doubled as both his unnamed home town and Dakar, Senegal.

not all of those were filmed in shreveport since La. is put in the search parameters, but shreve is only second to NOLA in the state in film production...
I know that new show the Gates will be there a while... the big one is shooting in BR .. "Battleship" will rival the budget of green latern, which wraps up in August

I'm pretty sure that Shreveport has moved ahead of New Orleans in terms of film and tv production. I know that Shreveport shot many more films and tv shows than Austin last year.

They're still shooting but it's not what it was a couple years ago. I think other states offered better tax incentives if I remember correctly. As far as New Orleans, they avoid shooting in the heart of hurricae season for obvious reasons.
