Actresses and nips in movies? Sorry no pics, just a question

For any of you who have been on a movie scene, do the directors actually tell the actresses to have hard nips for certain scenes? Are they in their trailers pinching away or sitting in freezing coolers to keep em hard?
Always seemed odd to me. It's too obvious in certain scenes for it to be accidental, but it must be awkward as fvck to tell a women she needs hard nips for this scene. Is that just one of those things that's ok in Hollywood?

I caught the last half of Batman Begins last night. Say what you want about Katie Holmes as an actor, but good lawd she has some sweet perky nips. The last scene, when Bruce is wandering around the rubble of Wayne Manor, and she shows up in that white satin blouse, she's pinging hard enough to cut glass. Perfect B cups man.
