He just annoys the shite out of me. I think they could have come up with a better character.

He’s awesome in the first, but it’s unbelievable they didn’t leave him for dead in the second one. He drugged them a second time? Hangover 2 is just way too over the top and disgusting. Plus they ruined the funniest part of the film where Chow, who can fix all their problems, just dies from an overdose. Should have kept him dead.

The character got worse as the movies went on.
He was way better as just a super weird dude. When they made him a legit mental case, they lost the character

Yes he’s too much of a little bitch to like. It’s especially bad in the second one. I can’t even watch the second one again because of him.

I don’t really get his humor. I feel like I get it...it’s just not funny to me. This goes for everything he’s in.

His stand-up (Does he even perform anymore? I dunno) isn't really like the film roles he plays, its very meandering and relaxed with staccato bursts of punchlines mixed in.
I hope he got some help; if you watch him on tour with Patton Oswalt, Maria Bamford, and Brian Posehn in the documentary The Comedians of Comedy, you'd swear he'd die of an OD or hang himself within a year. His star blew up within a year or two of that but you always wonder with comedians if the fame and money is just papering over the psychoses.

ZG has kind of type cast himself with this role and Due Date.
I absolutely wanted to punch him throughout the entirety of all those movies.

Agree. After watching the first one I wondered why this movie got so much hype. I'll never watch it again and passed on the second.

I liked him very much in the first film. His weirdness and stupidity played great off Phil and Stu's characters. But once was definitely enough.

The whole movie is worth it for this one line

I dk why but this kills me, his delivery is perfect

Alan wasn't the problem. Stu was the problem. Like someone said earlier I can't stand Ed Helms in anything, even in the Hangover.

Yeah Ed Helms got a crazy Hollywood push during this time and he’s never really been funny.

He's incredible in the first and degrades over the other two. I will say, I loved him in Bored to Death.
