Am I insane for wanting Wayne's World 3?

Wayne's World 2 was one of the pre-eminent stupid comedies of my youth. The original is one of my wife's favorite movies.
Is it too much to hope we could get one last, mediocre swan song from Wayne and Garth? It could close the door, firmly, on both classic rock and Mike Meyers' career.
I can almost picture the cameo list, the musical performances, the dumb plot about about cable access being replaced by the internet.

Yes. Mike Myers hasn't been funny in decades. His career is basically over.

Would make the redemption arc all that much better.

Not insane but you’re definitely not thinking clearly. I would’ve loved WW3 25 years ago but we’re so far past the point.
I’m extremely nervous about the Bill & Ted sequel as it is.

For some reason, I'm not.

If music videos and mtv were still important.
People aren't like wayne anymore. Young kids never really fantasize about having a metal band anymore.
They want a drum machine an some turntables.

I can’t see how they’d be relevant It's not like the Grateful Dead are still touring

I would watch it in the theatre.
Now let’s talk about that Austin Powers we all want...

Just think of the sequel to Dumb and Dumber and then add 10 years to it.
You wanna see that movie?

Tia Carrere is not a 10 anymore. I’d rather just remember Cassandra as she was and leave it in the past.

After seeing Keanu in a stupid rom com like Always Be My Maybe, I am excited for it. He doesn’t mind being the butt of jokes and has fun with films still.

Keanu Reeves is gonna slip into that Bill Murray role of showing up in random places and being beloved.

The Meyers and Carvey blood feud makes it hard to imagine
Posted on 6/1/20 at 11:35 pm to Honest Tune
Carvey believes Meyers ripped off Carveys Lorne Micheals impression that he made into Dr Evil. Then didn’t even offer him the role.
And from most accounts of people that were around the situation, that’s exactly what happened

The story goes that Dana Carvey would always do a killer Lorne Micheals impression when he was still working on SNL. When Meyers made Austin Powers he apparently lifted that impression wholesale to be used as Dr Evil. He never asked if he could use it, never called Carvey to offer him a part in the movie, and they pretty much never talked again after that.

They've since reconciled but there's plenty of reports of Myers being "difficult" to work with. That's part of the reason his career is over.
