Just in case anyone with Prime was interested. Some of the ones I've seen:

Paramount+ no ads - 99 cents for 2 months

AMC+ (with Shudder) no ads - 99 cents for 2 months

MGM+ no ads - 99 cents for 2 months

Starz - 99 cents for 2 months

Apple TV - 5.99 for 2 months

PBS Documentary Channel - 99 cents for 2 months

Hallmark+ - 99 cents for 2 months

There are probably more, but these are the ones I've seen. And you can cancel before the 2 months are up to avoid the full charge renewal if you want to.

It's great for something like "FROM" on MGM that you could binge in a couple months and get caught up.

Are there ads on Apple TV? I need to check out Widow's Bay.

I have Apple TV directly through Apple and there are no ads. They will do a quick preview of one of their other shows, but that can be skipped.

Apple TV has a lot of quality shows. I recommend Severance and Shrinking amongst others if you’re going to get it for Widows Bay.

ETA: MGM+ is actually .99/mo for 3 months when I just purchased. Also, it will come out of your digital credits if you have any.

ETA2: I went to cancel my Apple TV to pick up the Prime deal and Apple offered the same 5.99 / 2 months deal directly from them. So if you’re already paying for Apple TV, I suggest going to the cancel screen and check for the offer.

As a caveat - if you do MGM+ through Prime/YouTubeTV/etc. you almost have to know what you're looking for, or be content with the recommendations from them that come up in your feed on the hosting app. You don't get access to the proper MGM+ app.

In the case were folks like Mrs. Vox are only going to watch From & Project Hail Mary, that's not as big of a thing, but it can be a huge PITA if you don't know what you're wanting to watch and are used to the typical streaming platform experience.

Yeah, that's how we get our Paramount+ sub. It's ad-supported, and unfortunately there's no way to pay the difference to ad-free that way.

Just roping in suckers who won't pay attention until they've gotten tagged with the full boat subscription price a few times.
