After going with my family to my 4th movie in past 6 weeks and getting popcorn I finally am thinking of joining. Is it a good deal?

Here’s my situation

2 adults
2 kids
Live 2 miles from Cinemark and we see 95% of movies there
We always get popcorn

My only questions

The tickets roll over if unused so if I have 4 tickets unused can I use them all at same time?

Does anyone know how much extra XD is? That’s my only Q is if 2D is good enough?

I have looked at it because Lake Charles only has Cinemark theaters but I'm not interested in paying $8.99 to get one movie a month. Talk to me when its more like AMC A-List, $19.95 to see 3 movies a week plus discount and upgrades on concessions. Wish they had an AMC theater here

I realize that this doesnt answer your question, I just really dont like Cinemarks half assed plan compared to AMC

Damn. Nearest AMC is 20 minutes away and I know we wouldn’t use it. Sucks

Yes, and it’s worth it IMO. I do believe you could use all 4 at once if you wanted but i’ve never attempted to try it with 4 tickets.

I used to be back when i was single and working nights. It was a great deal for me but then again I was watching 2 -3 movies a week.

Pretty sure you can. We used two rollovers the other day. With a family of four, it’s worth it just for the 20% off concessions

How is it worth it? Its certainly not worth it for the movie tickets, I'm sorry, ticket. It's $8.99 a month and you get one movie ticket a month, at my Cinemark a friday night standard 2D (the only thing this movie club allows) is $9.36.

I guess if it is your only theater option its ok strictly for the 20% off concessions and free online reservations, but when compared to an actual MOVIE club, its shite.

If you have an AMC near by there is no contest

for $19.95/month you get

-3 movies a week in ANY format you choose
-10% back on food and drink purchases
-Free size upgrade on popcorn and drinks
-Priority lanes at box office and concessions
-Free online reservations

I have an AMC about 40 minutes away, never go to it. It’s nice, but not worth the drive.

So it's basically $8.99 a month, and you get one ticket and 20% off concessions, and they wave their online fees when you buy more tickets.

I guess I'd do it, but I'd make sure to find a movie each month to see. I doubt they'll roll anything over for you. No other service does that.

It's not much of a plan compared to AMC and the other plans out there.

Even if they did, you have already paid for it, the monthly cost to get that "free" ticket is the cost of a ticket.

Yes they rollover

That’s why I’m saying even if we go 4 months without seeing a movie that’s one movie for my family.

Also where I live it’s $12 for a ticket. $9 matinee

Confirm they roll it over and you can use as many tickets as you have built up. I am a member. I don't think the savings is so much that its a no brainer if you don't go regularly but we go to probably 8-10 movies a year and there are 4 of us. Concessions - it adds up. If we go see something early during the day I don't use the free ticket I just pay the discounted price and save the ticket for when we go later in the day. With all of the Disney releases I am there monthly if not more often right now.

What is Cinemark Movie Club?

Movie Club is the paid monthly membership tier of Cinemark Movie Rewards. In addition to the benefits available for Movie Fan members, Movie Club members get one ticket per month that rolls over if unused and can be shared with friends or family, 20% off concessions every visit, and waived online fees. Movie Club membership fee may vary by location.

Glad I was wrong. It's not a bad deal if you can rollover and share. You won't waste money by not going to movies every week as it is in the other plans.

Online fees are $1.70 per ticket, 1 free ticket/month and 20% off concessions. It’s worth it to me, and you can cancel any time, so when school starts again, i’ll Probably cancel it.

My wife is a member and it’s worth it for us. The tickets roll over and we live a few miles from a Cinemark. We usually go a month or two without seeing a movie then go to a couple of movies a month and use the rollover tickets. That plus the discount on concessions makes it worth it for us.

I go to matinees that are only $5 so it doesn't help that.

Our matinees are $9.50

FYI I just saw where Costco offers this for $45 for a 6 month membership, so that’s $7.50 per month

4.8 out of 5 reviews. Can’t really beat that.
