Anyone having the pause/restart issue on the Max app I have a simple workaround

Some people may have noticed if you leave something paused on the Max app (on some platforms) when you return and hit play it rewinds sometimes significantly before starting again. While a fix hasn't happened yet if you just hit the 10-second rewind button it only rewinds 10 seconds instead of 10 minutes or more at least on Roku.

You are joking but I was very close to doing this multiple times over the last week. It even teased you because it would bring up the scroll bar and you would get to watch it rewind before it started.

I'll have to try that because that's exactly what it is doing on my Roku Tv. Probably more like 20 minutes or better backwards

Between that, and going back to the last 30 seconds of the episode i last watched instead of letting me pick the next episode on a new session.. i dont even look forward to using the app.

I’ve just been pressing the back button to go back to the episode page instead of pausing it

I don’t have this problem since I’m not using Roku.
However, on Chromecast, the Max app has an issue where the option of fast forwarding and rewinding randomly disappears from the phone app after a few minutes. So I can only pause and restart without resetting everything.
This never happened under the HBO version of the app so it is very frustrating.
Prime and Netflix are the same as ever so it’s certainly not an issue with the Chromecast or my phone.

Thank you. Not a perfect fix but at least it's better than trying to find where I was again. It continues to blow my mind that they have somehow done nothing but make the app worse w/each incarnation.

I spoke too soon.
Was watching and it stopped, loaded for 30 seconds and jumped back 30 minutes all on its own.

If you hit the down button prior to hitting "ok" or the pause button, it won't do it, or it hasn't yet
