We are watching the series for the first time and are halfway through Season 3.
My question is does it end abruptly or did the showrunners wrap it up with a proper ending?

it's wrapped up. i don't think there are many unanswered questions.

Pretty much everyone loves it, so I'm sure it wraps up completely. I can't remember it's been so long.

Just finished the final season this past weekend. Started the show a couple months ago.
The formula changes a bit for Season 4 but mostly in a good way. They don't leave any loose ends.
