If any of you baws’ wives, gfs, partners, etc. are always wanting you to watch one of those mindless and drama filled reality shows with them, give this a shot. Walked by the tv one day as my gf was watching it and found myself sitting through an entire episode and now I’m hooked.
Show centers around a crew that works in the Yachting industry where they host wealthy guests for either 24 or 48 hour trips in various parts of the world. The guests, for me, are usually the most entertaining because they get absolutely hammered and make fools of themselves. But there is a bunch of crew drama that goes on with the young members who are, most of the time, pretty attractive and mid 20s to mid 30 year olds. After each trip they go out to clubs and get hammered where everything hits the fan. Lavish yacht lifestyle/work environment in exotic tropical locations with young and uhhh “hungry” people? Of course there’s drama!
I’d sit through this over those bachelor and bachelorette shows any day.
These are the current core cast members but they have random ones every so often. I’m a big fan of Kate. She’s the veteran cougar of the bunch that I think has been there throughout most of the series. Captain Lee is ole baw who runs a tight ship and doesn’t put up with any bullshite.

Yeah....currently watching Below Deck: Mediterranean. It is probably the worst of the 3 versions of the show because the captain is a really bad leader and a boss I wouldn't want to for. She micromanages and hovers.
The funny part about this season is that Bravo accidentally let a real, genuine, nice person on the show as chef. Then the Captain (and the producers) basically crushed his soul. The Captain hovered over him, trashed his food in front of guests, and then fired him when he really didn't deserve it.

I have not watched any of the Mediterranean but since we watch on demand the commercials are always showing it. The captain doesn't seem likable to me at all. I like the different chefs they've brought on. Low blow for a captain to trash the food in front of guests.

Below Deck Yacht Rental Costs
Hiring a yacht from Below Deck isn't cheap. The majority cost in the neighborhood of $150,000 per week. Yet, that charter rate doesn't include expenses, including fuel, dockage fees, and taxes.
Holy shite

Is that crap real? Do all of the main charters carry an envelope full of cash with them on the cruise to hand to the crew at the end? Or just on Below Deck?

Below Deck Med is on now. So we have Captain Sandy and stupid annoying Hannah.
Bravo has some really good reality shows. You should also check out Southern Charm (not the New Orleans version) and Summer House.
Below Deck Sailing was good as well.

I don't think that was ever announced on the show, about the dispute, not her quitting. I'm torn between her and Ben as my favorite all time crew mates.
Here is her beautiful mugshot.

Three posts in a row and then I'm done for now. So I saw this massive Jet on Bored Panda and thought it would make a great reality series. The guests could fly around the world and stop at 2-3 places of their choice. And the drama would be awesome because they are all stuck on a plane so can't escape.

Interesting:

Here’s a little-known secret about Below Deck: The “charter season” on the show is just a few weeks. In fact, the yachts are actually booked for about six weeks, and their regular crews are sent home. In other words, the charters on Below Deck are actually a charter within a charter!
Each of the Below Deck charters last just a few days, and each episode features new charter guests.

Great show. Several of my friends are married and we have a side text to discuss the episodes because my gf likes it as well.
Highly entertaining, probably the best Reality show since Jersey Shore.

I watched first season
The clientele and customers were legit crazy and could be real aholes. Why would anyone act like that on a reality show.
So much of it is let's find the most unstable people and throw them into chaos. Most people with that kind of money wouldn't even do business with them.
