I liked it. Michael Douglas is one of my favorite actors. Also, they did an excellent job of capturing Shreveport in each and every exterior scene.
Michael Douglas plays the District Attorney of Shreveport and is trying to become the Governor of Louisiana.
intense TRAILER

Did it come out in theaters?

It came out in something like five theaters in America, it only grossed $17,000 nationwide.
I thought it was a mediocre movie, and everything that happens in the film is predictable. The critics hated it, and it's presently sitting somewhere around 4% enjoyed on RottenTomatoes.
It wasn't worth a $1 Redbox rental. Michael Douglas must have owed someone a serious favor to star in this film.

I certainly didn't see the last couple minutes turning out like that.

They shouldn't be remaking Fritz Lang movies.

They call it the Kaizer Soze syndrome, when the desire to have a twist in new movies is irresistible. What could have served as the ending didn't have enough punch, that's when I realized what direction they'd go in. What happened was predictable, but not who it happened to (and one of the motives).
