I really want the Leo Jonestown movie that’s been rumored.

There will never be anyone as good as Powers Boothe was as Jim Jones.

honestly that’s solid casting
Whenever you get into Jonestown it’s really a wild story. How rapidly that cult devolved.

Fans of this should watch the first episode of The Studio on Apple TV+

I'm in but I hope he took a few lessons from how to end a series better from Barry.

Really like Bill Hader, but does he look old for 46 or is it just me?

i know he might be persona non grata, but Darryl Cooper (God's Socialist) has a great series on it that really gets into the civil rights part of Jones history.

Yeah! Jones was a big civil rights advocate. Preached acceptance and then at some point he starts spiraling
Another aspect that gets overlooked because of the kool aid is that they murdered a Congressman.

Powers Booth played Jim Jones in a mini series on CBS back in the early 80's ans was phomonial in it as Jones. Booth's performance in the mini series was as good as Tommy Lee Jones performance in the The Executionioner Song as Gary Gilmore.

he had adopted children of several races and caught a lot of hell for it. people don't really bring up that the vast majority of people in Jonestown were black often because that's who Jones "ministered" to.

Studio reset: Is it called Kool-Aid? Is Scorsese involved?

LPOTL has a really great Jonestown series.
shite is insane, and crazy we still have this.
You can even hear how the drugs, no sleep, etc. had degregaded his speech. Compared his lisp and mannerisms to this earlier sermon in 1978.

For anyone who hasn't seen it, you should all watch the Sacrament by Ti West before he got popular again.
The actor from the "coin flip" scene in No Country for Old Men throws 1000mph as the fake Jim Jones
