Black comedians "wearing the dress"

even though Chappelle wore it in "Men in Tights"...
Is this tread as common across the board or is it strictly a race issue?
Can you think of any successful black comedians that haven't "worn the dress"?
Did Samuel L wear a dress? (not that he would fall under the comedian category)
