I was watching all 3 major news morning shows at the gym on the TVs the other day and noticed most of the hosts were black. NBC had Al Roker and two other black hosts. 13% of the population. Where are all the Asians and Hispanics?
Does that darken the news for you?

I thought Eulogy was really good and best of season 7.

The main black girl is the worst actor I’ve ever seen in a major tv show. She’d be really bad at a local high school play.
Don’t guess you’ve seen Obi Wan show or Silo. Black Mirror girl might be on the list, but not at the top.

I enjoyed the Eulogy episode as it was a generally interesting concept, but had it been a no-name lead actor it would have been forgettable as a Black Mirror episode. They never really showed how using the tech enhanced the funeral experience for the survivors. It was basically just a love story. Entertaining, but weak as a Black Mirror story.

The casting felt...forced.

I thought it was a great idea that stumbled some but mostly hit. I didn't really understand if in the world of the episode the black actress was supposed to be crappy. e.g. They even included in the trailer acting that was obviously supposed to be perceived as bad (such as her showing her surprised face when listening in on the evil husband).
Awkwafina felt like stunt casting too.
Seemed absurd that Brandy would show up for such a major thing all by herself - no handlers or anything. And they just assumed she had literally memorized the entire movie?
Still, it was a very cool concept - again, touching on their recurring theme of consciousness being trapped in a computer. To my knowledge, this is the first time a victim actually WANTED to stay in the simulation.
Re the time shifting (6-7 hours per second is what I think they said), I calculated it was probably several years that she had in the movie to fall in love. Was that right?

Issa Rae is a terrible actor. That episode was easily twice as long as it needed to have been

I liked Eulogy, it was decent btu I'm sure I'll never watch it again. Didn't hate it, didn't overly like it, but it was fine enough.
The only thing that kinda bugged me about it is the main character's complete and utter inability to remember the girl's face. This was the love of his life and they were together for I think 3? years. You're telling me he can't even remember what her face looked like? bullshite.

Seems somewhat evident the point was that he never actually saw her - he didn't notice the engagement ring when they met, he didn't understand cello was more important to her than just the act of being in a band, etc. When he finally let go of his bitterness and one-sided self-pity, he basically was able to see her for the first time.

Whole season was crap outside of the first and last episode.
