Boogie Nights Drug Deal Scene

I recently did a rewatch of Boogie Nights after not seeing it since the 90s. The drug deal "Sister Christian" scene has to be one of the best/ most tense scenes in movie history. The acting by everyone was on point and P T Anderson directed it masterfully. If you haven't seen it in a while, someone put it on YouTube in 2 parts although the quality is bad it's still a great watch.
Part 1
Part 2
Eta: Night Ranger is performing at the Lamar Dixon Jan 8th. I kind of wanna go see them just to hear Sister Christian live

If you're not familiar with the Wonderland murders, enjoy the trip down that rabbit hole.

Ricky Springfield! He's a buddy of mine!
Alfred Molina at his best

Damn! I have not watched the movie, and know absolutely nothing about it other than Mark Wahlberg's dick...but wow that was intense.
The first link was incredible. It was suspenseful and once they got the money I was thinking "why haven't they left yet!"
The second link was like ok...its a movie and shite is gonna go down. But they should have just left!
I should probably watch the movie in its entirety to know why the guy chose to rob them.

The Asian boy lighting the firecrackers was a nice touch that added to the absurdity of that scene

That entire scene is based on something that really happened between John Holmes and Eddie Nash. Molina is playing Nash.

We just talked about this exact thing like two weeks ago on here.
Made me rewatch it. It’s still not that great a movie for me. This board vastly overrates it IMO. But that scene is awesome though. Molina was great.

There is a part of the scene that's missing where the guy goes off about his cassette tapes that is very funny as well.
Showtime played the movie a lot of the weekend of Christmas and that's where I saw it recently. The entire movie is avaliable for free on fmovies I can put a link in here but I dont know if it's allowed or whatnot.
Todd ( Thomas Jane) is the one who decided to sell the guy baking soda as coke and Dirk and John C Riely were just along for the ride.
Molina was perfect in that role as Rahad Jackson.

The donut shop scene with Don Cheadle is also great and intense as hell.

Boogie Nights is a masterpiece. It’s about broken people living a deluded life of luxury until reality starts crashing down. Perfect ensemble, and every single character has a full arc at the end. Just phenomenal.

Very, very loosely based.

I like the scene where Dirk and Chest are talking about working out... "What do you bench?" Let's say it on 3z 1,2,3. You didn't say anything. Nether did you! One of my favorite movies. Never knew Mickey Mantle played Todd Parker.

My favorites scenes were basically "John C Reilly". This was the first time that I'd seen him in anything. Had to track down Hard Eight as soon as it was over.
Even when he didn't have any lines, just watching him in the background was killing me.

Great cameo/guest appearance as himself in Arrested Development.

I always wondered what the drug dealer did with the dead bodies in his house...his bodyguard and Todd.
He's not going to call the cops of course with a house full of drugs and drug money and murders over a drug deal gone wrong.
Maybe Cosmo throws firecrackers on them and they burn them in the backyard?
Also when Wahlberg stares into space with a weird grin on his face while Jesse's Girl is playing, I wonder if PT told him to think about his Markie Mark days during the shot.
