Boy Meets World Spinoff: Was Angela and Shawn Worst Relationship Ever?

Years ago, I had to stop watching Boy Meets World because I hated the Angela and Shawn drama. It made him look like an idiot and she was way too over the top emotionally. Looking back, it was one of the most whiny relationships that I can ever remember and I wanted them to either just get together and be happy or end it and move on.
Anyone else feel that way, or was I off base?

Shawn was the worst. When he went off to go be a truck driver I was hoping he would stay gone.

I didn't like the extra characters they added. I could have put up with Shawn's brother and the red head, but Angela was the worst. And I hated that they made Eric a complete idiot.

About the same level idiot they made Eric is what they did to make Shawn an emotional hipster. It definitely was a let down for his character over the years. I didn't mind Angela too much until the drama really started just becoming such a lengthy ordeal.

The relationship sucked and turned both characters borderline dislikable.
That being said, they still were used to bring up a lot of cool issues that were used on the show and because of that, they are acceptable.
Angela sucked. Shawn use to be awesome. Both of them together just kinda made for moralistic stories since they would not survive on their own at that point.
