Top five historical war/action movie that has no historical accuracy…yes it’s a slam dunk in that category.

That comment aside, it is iconic. Regardless the issues, it’s incredible. Horner scored out of his mind, its theme is up there with Star Wars, Jaws, Indiana Jones, LOTR, etc all the greats in my mind.

It made Gleeson and Cosmo into who they became, it’s a part of pop culture that will never be taken away.

The poster of Gibson holding his long sword with a battle behind him is top 5 poster all time.

Every man dies, not every man really lives

I don’t care about this. Braveheart is a movie without fault.

I really like Braveheart.

top 5 all time?

I mean, Raiders of the Lost Ark exists.

so does Ghostbusters

So does Casablanca.

I don’t see it making the top 5

It's probably in my top 10.

Top 5 is a stretch.

I would put Apocalypto in the Top 20-25 ever, and is by far Mel Gibson's best film.

Braveheart is amazing though

My favorite movie of all time and has been since I was about 11 years old. Know it’s not historically accurate, but it’s an incredible movie and story told nonetheless.

It's one of my favorites. And longshanks should be mentioned among great villains in film.

It's a good movie, but it's not even the best best Scottish themed movie of it's time. Rob Roy is better. Much better dialogue and characters.

I was in Scotland (Edinburgh and the highlands) earlier this year and the Scots we met made it abundantly clear that are was not much historical accuracy in Braveheart. They all gave a great chuckle when someone brought up Braveheart. In fact the Scots have extremely long historical memories. They are a great people. Really enjoyed the trip.

Which isn’t a problem until some moron quotes one of those movies like they’re quoting a history book.

But Braveheart wasn’t the worst for that in my experience; that would be 300.
