Buying the Bayou is my new favorite TV show

Anyone seen this show on the Destination America channel? It's essentially Swamp People meets House Hunters (they even have the Swamp People narrator), with a couple (or friends) looking at three bayou, river or beach houses/properties in Louisiana or Mississippi and deciding on one at the end. They even have episodes dedicated to people looking for houseboats and floating houses. One episode might feature a couple looking for at million dollar properties outside NOLA, another might feature a guy looking for a fixer-upper fishing camp, and the next might feature a couple wanting a houseboat.
It's pretty interesting, and it's a good overview of southern (specifically gulf coast and bayou) culture. They've done episodes in places like W. Monroe, Houma, the Belle River, Pearlington, etc. Anyone ever watched it, and what is the Louisiana take on it? As an Arkansas boy who grew up hunting in the Mississippi River delta and spent a lot of time in the river bottoms, I think it's great.

It's all faked in case you were wondering. The people who say they buy have not in reality bought.

The "millionaires" weren't even in the market to buy a house. They were featured on another show, the producers liked their personalities, and they put them on buying the bayou

What are the stars of Buying the Bayou thoughts on this equation?
Woman's Vagina>Man's Anus

All reality TV is fake, especially House Hunters-eqsue shows. While I enjoy it, Duck Dynasty is one of the fakest, most scripted reality shows there is.
The bayou aspect of BTB is what I find interesting, as well as the properties themselves.

Yeah, that episode struck me as the crawfish guy just marketing himself, his wife and their business.

I agree. I just watch it as if it were a scripted sitcom, and it's one of the better sitcoms on TV. It's like a bearded "Modern Family" minus the ghay set in West Monroe.

Destination America is my favorite channel on TV right now. I like the Hillbilly Blood and Monsters and Mysteries in America show.

I actually saw them filming on more than one occasion in Dulac at the marina. It's all fake. they visit camps that are not for sale to fill in space. Next time I see ole frosted tips down there, I may let him film my camp.

Some of it is painfully fake and scripted. Like, they're always boating around coves, lakes and bayous in this awesome white deck boat, but yet the "buyers" always try to act like it's their boat.

It's sort of like how Duck Dynasty fans think that's actually Willie Robertson's real house, despite the fact that that exact house was featured in an episode from the first season where Phil and Kay look for houses, and the interior is completely different.
