Cameron Crowe's Roadies on Showtime

The first episode is airing on Showtime on Demand. Watched it earlier and it's pretty good.
Stars Luke Wilson & Carla Gugino & is basically about the Roadies on a multi city rock band tour. First stop is New Orleans although I'm pretty sure the exterior shot was the Cajun Dome
Entertaining show so far and it's cool to see the backstage shenanigans. Will definitely check out more episodes.

I thought it was a turd burger. Will give it a couple more weeks.

Just watched it. Wanted to like it, but it was pretty weak for me.
I don't think I'll be tuning in next week.

I liked it. I thought it is well cast and the first episode is always a set up to introduce characters. I wasn't super drawn into most good series on episode one.

On the one hand, it's not very good. People give long speeches telling you all of their character motivations, and treacly, truly unbelievable things about the power of music, man, fall out of people's mouths. It plays a commercial for 1970's AOR classic rock.
On the other, the earnestness kinda grows on me. It's fun to hang out with these characters, and while not believable in any real sense, its a pleasant way to pass an hour. And I can't totally hate a show that has a song of the day, and uses Frightened Rabbit in episode one.
I wouldn't call it good, but it is pleasant. It's like hanging out with an old friend. You may have outgrown Cameron Crowe, but he's still a decent guy good for a good time. And we need more affable shows on TV, as we are sort of in an era of prestige dramas which double as misery porn. Heck, even our comedies have too much misery in them.

I cringed everytime I heard one of the actors say New "Or-leenz". Other than that it was legit, I'm a big fan of Luke Wilson

Massive pet peeve of mine. I probably would've turned it off right there

I watched the first episode, I thought it was o.k. I will give it a shot.
Although I am disappointed that it looks like what could have been the most interesting character on the show, Ron White, only lasted one episode.

It's a pet peeve of mine too when the character is supposedly from New Orleans and says that. But these Roadies were just in town for 1 show and I'm assuming will be in another town next ep. People not from New Orleans or surrounding areas say "New Orleens' they don't know any better, so that didn't bother me.

Watched the first two episodes and somewhat ambivalent about its prospects as a show I will watch regularly.
Would appreciate a heads up if Imogen Poots steps out of her laundry.

This show is terrible, just terrible. Great cast but terrible writing. It's not funny or creative and all the characters are boring as shite.

I thought the Louisville episode was great

I just finished this.
I agree with your assessment wholeheartedly. It's a show I wouldn't necessarily commend but that I enjoy tremendously.
Also, I'm aligned with Cameron Crowe's musical tastes to a fault. I loved Almost Famous, liked the music in Elizabethtown, and enjoyed this one too. That my favorite Warren Zevon song (Mohammed's Radio) showed up in the finale...just blows my mind.
Anyway, the show is kinda cheesy, but I have no doubt it nailed one segment of its intended audience.
