One of those guys I've seen in several shows over the years and recognize his face... but don't think I ever knew his name

I remember him as the crooked cop in Streets of Fire. He's just one of those 'that guy' actors, super recognizable face but people generally don't remember his name.

His first credited feature film appearance was in Rio Lobo - John Wayne and Howard Hawks' third time through with that same basic story (Rio Bravo/El Dorado/Rio Lobo) - and he was the young Yankee lieutenant that gets killed early in the film during the train robbery by the Confederates. His death is one of the main factors driving Wayne's character. (ETA: And this was Hawks' last film.)

He was fun as the bartender in 48 Hours. I suppose my favorite role is Chuck Fleming in Brewster's Millions.

RIP

'I prayed it would pass...but it's a constant frickin' sore spot n' throb. You are a constant vision before me...you and your fabulous bosoms. I beg you, release your Man-Stallion from his He-Stable for another gallop 'round the ring.'

Never heard of him, but...

Dude has been in lots of Westerns. How many folks can say they were in Cimarron Strip & Daniel Boone in the 60’s, Rio Lobo, Kung Fu & Gunsmoke in the 70’s , The Long Riders, a Seven Brides for Seven Brothers remake, & Sunset in the 80’s, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman & Wild Bill in the 90’s, Deadwood in the 2000’s, Justified in 2010, Longmire in 2016 and Deadwood: The Movie in 2019?

I remember some actress saying you can get work in this town. You show up on time, know your lines, and don't cause any problems. He obviously fit this bill. Of course, you also have to have acting talent.
