Went check out the movie today because I haven’t been to the theater in a while (I usually got a couple times every January).

Was kinda disappointed in the movie, kinda saw/heard about the twist in one of the trailers, but never played too much attention when I saw the trailers. I love a good horror movie………… but this wasn’t a horror movie like I thought it was going to be. It kinda felt like an episode of Black Mirror……… but with an idea I feel like I seen before.

I think you absolutely nailed it with this comparison. I was a big fan of that TV show, which is probably why I like this movie so much. I had only watched the trailer on the same day we went to see the movie so I wasn’t exposed to any spoilers, plot, twists, etc.

Saw this last night. It was absolutely fantastic. I went into it blind so I can see how knowing the plot beforehand would diminish its effectiveness. It was witty and had some fun twists in the story. Certainly not what I was expecting and absolutely not a horror film. But a lot of fun. I’m limiting my comments as to avoid any spoilers. Just go see it, most will really enjoy it.

I thought it looked good but was pretty surprised to see the RT score. It’s getting RAVE reviews. May check it out this weekend

Enjoyed it for what it was but felt like leaving some plot points out of the trailer would have taken it up a notch. Solid movie overall.

Saw this last night. Loved it. Some original ideas.

It's best if you know nothing going into the movie. The trailer gives away way too much. Even the main marketing image gives away too much.

The writer/director obviously wanted you to know nothing going into the story, and it's more fun if you don't know anything. But the marketing people apparently decided that they couldn't sell it without giving away both a surprise and key parts of the plot. The trailer could have been way more deceptive and still effective.

I watched the trailer but I absolutely enjoyed this movie from start to finish. Best movie of the last few years for me.

Sophie Thatcher was great in this.

Movie is kind of terrifying because its probably a glimpse into the upcoming future

I am an hour into this movie and I saw that the running time is about 100 minutes and I wish it was 200 minutes. I am enjoying this movie so fricking much

After watching: They couldn’t stick the landing

Unfortunately, yes.

Nearer than most people think.

Fun movie though. Did have an undertone of female empowerment and domestic violence/abusive relationships, but easily looked over.

Lastly, Sophie Thatcher is very easy on the eyes.

This is now streaming on MAX.
Saw it last night- was decent and witty. Like others said, it was very much a Black Mirror episode.
Sophie Thatcher is going to be a big star down the road.

Pretty good watch. Just wish they didn’t give away the robot twist.

I agree. The trailer makes it very obvious that Iris is not human. I think one of the trailers even goes so far as to reveal that she's a robot.

SPOILERS:

The second twist, that they brought her along so they could commit murder and frame her for it, was pretty damn good. I did think the gay terminator at the end was a bit much though.

I didn’t know anything about this movie and in the very first scene of her walking thru the market I said “she’s a robot” LOL

I don’t think it was ever intended that she was not human was to be a surprise. As you said the reveal was the murder plot and the roles that everyone else played

plus…the title and the tagline kinda gave it away anyway

really good movie, I enjoyed it

I will say, one twist I didn't see coming was the gay robot. It was a good movie that I would recommend
