This dropped on Amazon Prime recently. Watched the trailer and looked good so I watched it. I thought the movie was good with lots of familar faces. Then the last 15-20 minutes of the movie......IMO ruined the movie.
I'm a Baptist and I was somewhat stunned on the ending. Not trying to attach any politics or woke stuff to this but for those who are Catholic on this board that have seen this movie, what are your thoughts on this movie? Same reaction as myself? Just curious.

I saw it yesterday and was disappointed with most of it (after really looking forward to it).
Should not get anywhere near best picture IMO

Haven't seen it but read it was insane propaganda.

I like all the actors and thought it had an interesting premise, but I read the plot on wiki and it definitely seems to jump the shark.

Pretty much how I feel. I really liked it, and then the ending was WTF. Made it fall flat a little for me.

The ending didn’t really bother me because the movie did a terrible job of making me care who won. They spent too much time getting the aesthetics down that they didn’t develop any of the characters. Gay Tucci vs Vapes vs Secret Uterus is a no-win contest. I thought Fiennes did good job but I still didn’t care if he won or not. I would have voted for Vapes.
Would have been better as a limited series, but we did have The Young Pope a few years ago that set the bar too high.

Totally agree with this statement. More character development would have been nice.
