I remember this trailer being the greatest thing I’ve ever seen as a dinosaur crazed 10 year old. Then the movie kicked arse for me too, the Carnotaurs were awesome.
Well, 24 years later I’m showing my son and damn if the CGI isn’t still great. Is it nostalgia? Cause all of us would say the original Jurassic Park still looks the best. What was the technique back then that made it look better than now?
Sure there are sequences where it doesn’t look the best, but that opening when the Carnotaur busts through the jungle to attack the nesting site looks amazing to this day

I’ll say the some of the computer stuff earlier on had pretty good textures and now everything looks so glossy.

I have good memories watching this movie. My parents didn’t let me watch Jurassic Park because I was too young so this was the best alternative.
