Does anyone actually watch the Daily Show with Trevor Noah?

I see constant promos for it when I have South Park on Comedy Central on and it looks like total arse. I've never watched it but wondering what would actually prompt someone to take time out of their night to watch it.

It's an Amen Corner for a true believer

Is he still doing the show from his living room without a haircut like its still March 2020?

Not regularly, but a little. By "a little", I mean maybe a total of 30 minutes a week. Maybe a little more if I see a clip with Jordan Klepper or Roy Wood Jr on Twitter.

I really enjoyed it with Jon Stewart, and recorded/watched every episode.
I think I watched the first episode with Trevor and signed off. He’s just not my style.

Literally nobody I know of does. I honestly have no idea how he still has a show. I cringe at EVERY single commercial for the show, and you have to assume they are showing the best parts in the marketing for it.
I didn’t agree with Stewart politically, but he was pretty funny and a good host. Trevor Noah is neither. And he’s not even close.

It's ratings are abysmal. Both in the key demos and overall viewership. Like barely in the cable top 50, and not even in it some days.
But they'll never cancel it, so we'll have to continue to power thru those super cringe commercials while watching South Park and the Office.

It’s incredible how terrible the promos for it are. I have no idea how someone could watch those and not cringe

Never have. The commercials are freaking cringe, so I have no interest in giving it a shot.

I’m pretty sure a significant number of his viewers are people that accidentally left the tv on after watching these two shows

I miss Jon Stewart. I think I gave Trevor Noah about a month trial, and still hated him. Checked back in about a year later to see if anything had changed...nope, He’s the worst.

The commercials are so bad I can’t watch. I enjoyed both Jon Stewart and Colbert ... late night TV (if you want to call that late night) just sucks now. No creativity.

He's not a funny person. And I don't mean compared to other comedians I mean compared to anybody alive

Not many
But Comedy Central already fired one terrible black comedian for bad ratings. I think they are afraid to pull the trigger on Noah unless a bunch of Houston masseuses start suing.
He sucks. And dispels the myth that most black comedians are above average.

Has he ever done standup? If not he is not a comedian. He is one of those propoganda pawns that have been strategically placed in a spot
Apparently he has a Netflix special. Wonder why nobody talks about it?

Just for reference, TDS hit 2.5 million viewers/episode under Stewart. Last year, Noah was averaging about 625k. Literally 75% of the audience has disappeared, which should be especially depressing for CC since TDS always skewed Young, Educated, and Wealthy - meaning there should be millions of viewers in their prime earning years to advertise to. Instead, they all watch Rachel Maddow.

Sure, but what I mean is that there have to be tons of other wood black guys you could hire that are actually funny. Or kinda funny. Or remotely funny. Or even accidentally funny.
I don’t understand how he, specifically, has this job still. I guess part of it is that CC has also just sort of given up in terms of original content.
