So last night I got the itch to watch Dogma, and after several attempts to find it on the usual streams (Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, etc.), I googled it and found out it's not available for streaming. The Catholic Church did their best on trying to prevent its release but eventually it was released after the Weinstein Brothers bought it back. Apparently they still own the rights to the digital release and it likely wont be released due to their current personal problems.

Now I gotta order a DVD to get my fix. Hope my blue-ray player still works!

I try to avoid rewatching Kevin Smith's movies. They hold up a little less with each viewing. Which is a shame, because I enjoyed all of them the first time around.

I can watch Mallrats once a month, every month, and still laugh my arse off.

Yeah, but the cast on this movie is probably Kevin Smith's greatest accomplishment.

Me either. I tried to watch it because of the cast and I liked Smith but the movie fell flat for me.

I would say the exact opposite

Mallrats and Clerks was an instant hit for me and i still love rewatching

Jay and silent bob, clerks 2 and a couple others grew on me much more the more i watched them. Clerks 2 especially. Hidden gem.

I know the blu ray is out of print too. They go for a lot of money used I believe. Unless that has recently changed.

Bethany: I don't mean to sound ungrateful... but what are you doing hanging around?

Jay: We're here to pick up chicks.

Bethany: Excuse me?

Jay: We figure an abortion clinic is a good place to meet loose women. Why else would they be there unless they like to frick?

Brodie: You're giving up? You? You used to be stand-up guy, what happened to him? The guy who punched Amanda Gross's mother after she called him "low class".

T.S. Quint: That wasn't me. It was you.

Brodie: Oh, yeah.

T.S. Quint: And it wasn't her mother, it was her grandmother.

Brodie: No wonder the bitch went down so fast.

I loved Dogma

it still cracks me up that he protested his own movie with a bunch of church people and they had no idea who he was - he was even interviewed by the news who didn't know who he was either.
