First 2 episodes out now.

From IMDB

Follows long-time friends and delinquents who pose as DEA agents to rob a house in the countryside, but end up unintentionally revealing and unraveling the biggest hidden narcotics corridor on the Eastern seaboard.

I watched the first episode directed by Ridley Scott and it has a lot of potential. Developed and written for screen by Peter Craig based of a book of the same name. 90% on RT but only 20 reviews.

I'm excited for this one. Brian Tyree Henry is good in basically everything.

And Wagner Moura was good in Civil War and Narcos. I’m in.

Thanks for the recommendation, first two episodes were great. Certain parts of episode 2 gave off Season 1 True Detectives vibes to me.

The third episode is out. If you aren't watching this one I think you are missing out.

Another great episode. The lawyer has to be thinking WTF did she get herself into when she walked into that bar.

4th episode was great as well. I'm not sure why this isn't getting more traction here, I guess it may be fewer people have Apple TV.

Apple continues to churn out really good shows.

They have to have the highest batting average when it comes to the streaming services.

I'm two episodes into the show due to this thread. I love it.

Between AppleTV+ and HBO/Max (real HBO), the quality content is so good.

Really good series. There’s something different about the narrative style that I can’t put my finger on. It’s kind of immediate and claustrophobic at the same time. Any ideas?

While I hadn't thought about it I see what you are saying. I feel tethered to Ray and I can feel the walls closing in on "us".

I can see how some people would see E3-5 as a bit of a slow burn but the tension between Ray/Manny, and both the cop and the unseen force closing in is getting palpable.

Spoilers

The romantic angle happened earlier than I figured it would, which might not be good for her. Everything around Ray turns to shite. I also think people that are watching figured Ving Rhames character would play a bigger role in the series, which it did with this
episode. IMO, Apple TV has a good track record of putting out quality programming, for whatever reason Apple doesn’t promote it for the most part.
