as someone who never watched the first two seasons, I’m digging this third season. Sydney Sweeney had me laughing my arse off in that final scene. And the Mexican stand off scene with the bird Highly entertaining show.

Yea I mean I legit don't see how someone could not enjoy that last episode. As I said, it was basically a mix of Tarantino and Coen Bros all in one.

The first two seasons are more depressing than funny though?

Yea there are certainly depressing times. It's a good series and the ratings and awards show that. I was really surprised at how good the first two seasons were, I just watched them for the first time a couple months ago but binged them pretty quick. S2 was especially good.

Shows evolve and change. S3 was a jump from high school to four or so years in the future, so yea, it's not the same tone. It's definitely more Breaking Bad now, which isn't a bad thing. Don't know why someone who enjoyed the first two seasons would all of a sudden not like this one. All of the characters except for Rue still feel the same.

Worst honeymoon ever?

I know this isn't real life but, a tranny being able to get men to pay for being with them shows what a fricked up world we live in.

They killed Paladin!

Rue is supposed to be the star of the show but, most of her scenes are aweful.

really? it's a completely different show

the entire appeal of euphoria was the cinematography, music, aesthetic and all of that is different now

Didn’t the guy who created the show pretty much copy the Safdie Bros signature cinematography? It’s not that original of a thing like it’s attributed as.

It's a jump forward (obviously) and their lives are pretty different, but the characters haven't changed much. Nate maybe, but he's clearly just waiting to blow too.

Maybe for you. I agree all of those things were nice, but they still are imo. The cinematography of the last episode was fantastic and Hans Zimmer is doing the score, one of the best in the business. The story and characters were always the best part despite the other good aspects and the story is really good so far.

I mean you were rooting for it to be a disaster like The Idol before the season even started so it's not surprising you don't like it. That's the popular thing around here, just hoping shows fail and even when they don't, pretending they fail.

the reception of this season is overwhelmingly negative. I think you're just off base with all of this.

also the score of this is god awful

The first episode got a low rating because the tone was so different. i get that. It's understandable why people would be disappointed in that episode.

Episode 3 had a 7.6 rating and the show has an overall 8.2 rating for the first two seasons. So not that much below what seasons one and two were averaging. I personally thought episode 3 was one of the better episodes of the entire series.

Hans Zimmer is probably the second greatest movie composer of all time. Give me a break, this is not an awful score

But again, you went into it already hating it so there's no point in talking about it.

everyone steals from everyone, tarantino made a career of it.

Say whatever you want about Euphoria but the show is way more cinematic than it deserves to be. Nothing else on TV looks like it.

levinson has talent and good eye but is seemingly only interested in making slop

I wonder how this show would have gone if they didn’t have to scrap the Nate Jules storyline bc they don’t get along in real life.

Zendaya has no choice but to go all in on lefty weirdo shite. She doesn't have the looks to have a long career otherwise

The “tone” of episodes 2 and 3 have followed episode 1. And when people say it’s a totally different show, we’re referring to the tone.

She's considered one of the hottest actresses in Hollywood.

But yea, whatever.

I think her career is just fine.

I personally don’t find her attractive, but she cleans up reasonably well and is without a doubt an A lister.

My wife started this shite tonight. Early in season 1

What is the point of this show? I hate basically everyone. It's just gross for the sake of being gross.

I could see like a movie of this, like Rules of Attraction, but 2+ seasons?

Also, what's the deal with the contrasts of the exterior locations and interior of houses?

*ETA: this is like Bret Easton Ellis without the writing talent
