I really have no idea what Disney's gameplan is with these remakes.
The stories are shite and all it does is confuse kids when they go to the parks because the Ariel or Snow White they see at the park is not the one they just saw in the remake.

It's comically simple. They own these stories, so instead of making up new tales to promote The Message, they just rebrand, repackage old stuff.
The bait & switch alone will fool enough people to make some money because it's Disney.
They think the audience really are that simple, and those who don't buy into it all can be mocked and insulted into submission.
