Huge Fantastic Beasts sequel news: Warner Bros. has revealed the second film’s official title, the first cast photo, below (including a look at Jude Law playing a younger Albus Dumbledore and a new look at Johnny Depp’s Gellert Grindelwald), plus some fresh story details.
The film’s title is Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, which opens a year from today — Nov. 16, 2018.

Here’s the official new plot description, which along with the character descriptions further below contain several nuggets that haven’t been confirmed before — such as officially announcing the return of Ezra Miller as Credence: “At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Redmayne). But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings. In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.”
I thought the first one was okay. Many here hated it, but it was a fun reminder of the great world created by Rowling. It wasn't as good as Potter, but it was not bad. This one seems like a less dark and sinister version of Voldemort, though. Dark wizard. Gathering followers. Pretty much thee same thing, only with Depp instead of Feinnes. Still, I'll likely watch it, especially if the redhead is back.

Looks like they still have the smoking hot blonde. I'm in.
Not sure how they'll do the Credence part. Wonder if they kept him because Ezra's so hot right now.

Too many white people in the cast.

WTF, no. They clearly say that Scammander was a student of Dumbledore. There would be a riot if there is a suggestion that Dumbledore slept with a student

I watched the first one, it seemed like it was four hours long. And they had a decent cast, but they didn't give anyone anything to do. I know Eddie Redmayne is a bigger name, but they really fricked up not casting Matt Smith as Newt. (Kinda like how Josh Brolin should have been Batman over Affleck)

Surprised you didn't mention the black and Asian girl as well.

I wish Colin Farrell was just playing Grindelwald instead.

I wish they would just drop Newt, and document grindewald 's rise to power, as well as Dumbledore deciding to take him on.

Like I said, I like the first one. I like the Harry Potter universe and this story does a decent job of being entertaining. I'll see it.

Just because he deeply respects Dumbledore doesn’t mean it’s sexual

SPOILERS***
Colin Farrell could still be in it right? It was never confirmed that his character was actually dead?
