These might have been here a while, just noticed myself. I was picking out a movie for the kids and saw it pop up. I squealed, they weren't interested, but I'm psyched. I fell off of Wes Anderson a long time ago, but Fox is up there for me along with Rushmore and Bottle Rocket. I watched Isle of Dogs a while back on Prime and really liked it.

Anyways, FYI.

Both are entertaining & really well done. Fan of both.

Along similar lines, Missing Link (2019) animated movie is a fun watch.

Fantastic Mr. Fox might be his best and Isle of Dogs is great too. WA has a new movie going into production starring Bill Murray, Michael Cera, and Benicio De Toro that sounds great. Deadline.

quote:

The Phoenician Scheme is an upcoming American adventure comedy film directed by Wes Anderson from a script he wrote with Roman Coppola. The film will feature an ensemble cast including Benicio del Toro, Michael Cera, Bill Murray, Riz Ahmed, Tom Hanks, Benedict Cumberbatch, Scarlett Johansson, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Rupert Friend, Willem Dafoe, Bryan Cranston, Mia Threapleton, Mohamed Chahrour, Imad Mardnli and Tonio Arango. It will be produced by Anderson through his company American Empirical Pictures and Steven Rales through his company Indian Paintbrush.
Wiki. Can't wait.

I agree with this. I use to watch it a good bit when my daughter was younger.

The claymation/animated WA movies were his last tolerable ones.

depending on how you look at his statement

Grand Budapest Hotel came out before Isle of Dogs. So Isle of Dogs is arguably his last good movie (depending on how you feel about the last 3)

i haven’t seen Asteroid City but I cant imagine I wont like it.

Definitely on the bottom end of WA films, but I did enjoy it more than French Dispatch.

Life Aquatic is still my favorite with Royal Tenenbaums and GBH.
