Boys, I don't wanna speak ill of your mother on Christmas, but she's nothing but a common street whore.
quote:
Darryl: Look, Brad, I'm not trying to be your father, you already got one of those. I'm just hoping for a chance to be your friend.
Brad: You were my friend, Darryl. You were my best friend. We grew up together, we rode bikes together, we used to smell each other's hands. But now you're sleeping with my mom and it's a little bit weird for me. Can you appreciate that?
Darryl: I never had a sexual thought of your mom until I was thirty.
Brad: Can you leave it alone? You can't be my friend anymore. You can't be sleeping with my mom and still be my friend, okay?

Love this movie. Favreau and McGraw nail it as the white trash brothers.

The visit to the trailer trash relatives was exactly like the Christmases I spent at my ex's family. It was so accurate that I could not stop laughing.

The part when the baby throws up all over Reese Witherspoon and he starts gagging and everyone is worried about him

5 or so years ago the answer was Just Friends, but that is now appropriately enjoyed....
So this is correct. I actually remember seeing this in the theater when it came out and enjoyed it, as soon as it was on digital sale for like $4 bucks I bought it a few years. It definitely gets a watch or two during the season.

The church scene kills me. Dwight Yoakam nails the Pastor role, and Vaughn is hilarious as Joseph- "Woman, swaddle that baby!"
At the end of the scene when they go back into the audience and Vaughn is high fiving and kissing everyone then starts clapping to the music fricking KILLS me!

Joseph: "It appears my wife is better at making babies than swaddling them, no?"

One of my absolute favorites. When Robert Duvall says he's not letting a sex predator in his house.

Who doesn’t use the word mistletoe as your it’s time to leave?

Luckily AMC plays this movie everyday during the holidays so I usually watch it 10 times or so every year

This and Just Friends are my two yearly "must watch" Christmas movies.

Surviving Christmas is on my list of unappreciated Christmas movies.
Where else do you get to see Affleck hit in the head with a shovel?

That movie is pretty damn funny

Great movie, but i wouldn't say it's underrated.
Deck the Halls is underrated. Great christmas movie.

I've never seen this one, and I assumed my list of holiday movies I watch every year would remain unchanged for the next 60 years of my life. I set it to record on YTTV. My question is, should I put up a little dough to rent it, or is the syndication version good enough?

Cable version is good. It's a clean movie.
