Godless - Netflix, Season 2

I binged Godless over the last 2 weeks & thoroughly enjoyed it.

I thought it was awesome. I watched it two or three times. Jeff Daniels was incredible in it.
I didn't know there was going to be a season two, I'm pumped now. The cowboy riding away ending of season 1 was awesome. I figured that was it. Thanks for the heads up.
That's not an official trailer, is it? It looked like a mash up of random western scenes with parts of Godless mixed in.
ETA: Yup, just saw Buster Scruggs in the trailer.

I have no idea what that trailer was, but I don't think it was anything official. Once I realized the music made no sense at any point, I started to notice none of the scenes had any flow to them. This seemed like some weird spliced together trailer of a bunch of cowboy shows.

I haven't seen anything remotely officially saying there's even going to be a Season 2. Unless I missed something somewhere.
I'm also not sure what all you could do with a Season 2 given where it ended.

I enjoyed S1, and would like to see more, but I'm a bit puzzled at how they'll continue the story. Or come up with something comparable.

Season 2 will either have to be a prequel or an entirely different story because of how season 1 ended.

YeH, I think season 2 would have to follow Truckee as a young man perhaps getting into something over his head and maybe Roy Goode having to come help get him out of it?
