less cartoonish

Truest thing ever. Kong Skull Island and Godzilla 2014 compared to GvK & GxK... it's akin to Thor and the Thor sequels Ragnarök, Love and Thunder.

The titans had far more of a real world feel to them. They were enigmas of all enigmas, even just seeing one was a black swan event. Something humans had not seen in so long, they'd become lost in myth. Now they just pop up anywhere and everywhere. For whatever reason. I think they need to have been kept more hidden and thus the threat of them appearing would be always looming. When will they return?

Just saw this today and loved it. All I wanted was to watch monsters frick each other up and I got plenty. I loved when Kong gets jumped by the apes for the first time and just takes them down like nothing. And the scene in the lava cave where one is screaming in his face and he just knocks him on his arse was hilarious. Could’ve used some more Godzilla time it seemed like he just spent the whole movie powering up but overall enjoyed this one

And even then, I was tired of them

I laughed so hard at this comment since I made a comment to my wife during the movie that I don't give a shite about any of the human storylines.

Took the family to see this last night and we all loved it, I will echo other's sentiments that I wanted to see some big monsters fighting each other and it delivered.
