Tom Hanks is so awesome. Probably my favorite actor of all time. Just so versatile

Looks awesome besides the inspired by true events, no reason to make it seem real when it is fictional.

Somebody doesn't know what "inspired by" means.

And here I thought it was going to be Tom Hanks riding a shitty bus on a 15 hour trip that should only take 1 hour. I feel much better about this now.

You got to admit they are starting to use this term far more ridiculously than ever. Sounds a lot better than taken from a fictional book.

Finally! A solid-looking movie about the Battle of the Atlantic.

Love Hanks but this doesn't look any better than Midway.

I wish someone would make a good movie about the Battle of Jutland.

“Inspired by” usually means they play even more fast and loose with the details than when they say “Based on.”

“Inspired by” in this case probably means...yes, there was a transport convoy during the war, and yes, they probably encountered a U-Boat to some degree. The rest is probably made up.

Probably going to be a hell of a movie though.
