How do you envision Maris Crane?

Niles’s wife was never shown. But who do you think best fits the look of Maris?
I always think of someone like an 80s-90s model back when the coked up look was all the rage.
I guess Kate Moss comes to mind, just not sure she fits well... maybe to “attractive” for Niles (though she’s not really my cup of tea)?

Given her personality, I envision her as an even skinnier, pinch-faced and dourer version of Angela from "The Office." I don't recall any suggestion she had model looks.
Edit: Since it was lust at first sight when meeting Daphne, we actually know what kind of woman Niles is attracted to, though. And Daphne is not anywhere near rail-thin. His marriage to Maris was always implied to have as much to do with Niles' self-esteem issues as with his attraction to Maris.

I guess I always thought with her being an entitled heiress with multiple plastic surgeries she would be like a model... or at least think she was a model. But I never thought of her as plain or ugly. Maybe like a skinny version of one of those wealthy housewives on those shitty reality TV shows.

I just did a full season run through and they dont' show her. There's one episode kinda near the end of the series where Niles is supposed to meet up with her at the cafe and a lady comes and we're supposed to think it's her but it was just a gag and it's actually somebody else.

They said in the show that Mel resembled Maris. So she probably looked something like her.

Nope. She's never shown, which was a genius move on the part of the writers IMO. Designing Women did the same thing with Suzanne's maid Consuela. She was referenced in just about every episode, but never seen.
