In the Cadillac Jerry gets a check from a performance. He buys a loaded Cadillac for his dad. That car coast about $55k?

How much was the check. $100k?

Also while rewatching Seinfeld he starts the show doing small clubs and by S7 he’s on the tonight show and flying all over doing performances. What would a comedian like that earn.

Of course his neighbors are a mailman and unemployed Kramer.

He was always doing small club shows in NYC to work on his act and would travel for other gigs, including late night show sets.

Dude was writing a sitcom pilot before that season, so he was reasonably well known.

The most iconic comedy clubs in NYC are pretty small. It’s completely normal to go to the Comedy Cellar or Caroline’s and see a really famous comedian. It’s where they work out their material. So Jerry playing in clubs and then being on the tonight show is the norm when it comes to being a successful comic.

Wasn’t he making upwards of $20 million and the others making around $5 million and that’s one reason Seinfeld went off the air

The series ended b/c he didn't want to keep going. It was still the top rated show on TV getting 30 million viewers an episode when they hung it up. It's one of just 3 shows to end when they were still at the top of the ratings w/the others being I Love Lucy and The Andy Griffith Show.

Didn’t know that.

Show is still great. Haven’t seen any episodes in years.

I was surprised at how George’s parents didn’t make an appearance until 4h season I think. And some of the guest characters only had one or two shows but made big impacts.
