I am finally getting rid of cable dude to Direct TV not having NBC or Fox (and the cost)

Is there a decided advantage of Hulu + or Youtube TV?

Looks like YTTV is a little more expensive and Hulu comes with Disney+ (I will virtually never use this)and ESPN+.

Are there any other options available?

There's a recent topic I created here that was most helpful:

Cord Cutting Thread

FWIW, I went with Hulu Live..Works great so far and with the ESPN bundle I'm set for college football.

I've had both. I personally prefer YTTV quite a bit better. I really dislike the interface of Hulu Live. It used to be much better, I switched after they did an update a a year or two ago. It's so jumbled and not very user friendly. Not that it's difficult, just not as clean and easy as YTTV.

Both are going to be pretty similar in stations and price. I'd do a free trial for each and see which one you like better.

I personally had very bad buffering problems on YTTV during the 2021 football and MLB postseason. When YTTV threatened to drop ESPN right before the bowl season, I made the swap to HULU live and have not had any issues with live sports since.

I do understand that it seems like, after reading through several of these kinds of threads, I'm the only one who had this issue with YTTV.

I've had Youtube TV for 2 years now and love it. No issues ever.

This might not affect you, but it does me....YTTV only requires you to verify your location once every six months for locals. You can either do it via your IP address OR you can do it with your mobile phone via location services being enabled.

Hulu is strictly IP address in order to verify locals. Problem with that is down at deer camp I have Starlink and my IP address pings in Dallas. I don't want Dallas locals...I want my Little Rock market locals.

With YTTV, I verify locals through my phone with location services.

With all of that said.....I really like YTTV and have nothing negative to say abouut it.

Yes, the YTTV interface is miles ahead of Hulu.

We went with Hulu because of a couple of channels, particularly the history channel. It's been fine.

We've had a few hickups here and there, same as you have with any service, but having espn+ has been nice during football season.

You obviously haven't had cable in a while.
