I gotta say that these brothers are humble as hell. It was a great documentary about their music career.

Before I get downvoted and made fun of for watching this, I admit that I don’t really listen to their music. But their music is not targeted to people like me.

I was impressed at how hard these kids worked together to get to where they are today.

Overall it was a great documentary whether you like their music or not. I gotta say, I have a whole new respect for these guys after watching this documentary about them.

Who are people like you?

I actually like a fair amount of their music.

I don't like or dislike their music. I just don't listen to that genre a lot and when I hear one of their songs, I don't hate it, but I don't love it. It's just kind of there for me.

I might watch this. The Bee Gees doc on HBO Max did a nice thing where they had interviews with Nick Jonas and Noel Gallagher and got their insight on being a part of a brothers act.

I'm not knocking you for watching it but they are selling an image. Just like they did with the virginity thing and we all know how that turned out

Mickey Mouse really did a number on them. Did they cover that storyline?

They've been putting music out for almost 20 years now. Do you think that their music has not matured at all?

OP is part of the answer to the question of why does modern music suck so much. Because no talent image whores are getting all of the attention and money (and for the record, modern music doesn't actually suck).

I've found myself fascinated while watching documentaries about musicians and groups I'm not even a big fan of.

From Justin Beiber To Bob Dylan and P!nk to ZZ Top.
I usually find their stories incredibly interesting.

This one in the OP was one of the best. Those young men put 110% into pursuing their dream. I can see why he started this thread.

That's a really strange take on his post.

Dude came out and said he's not a fanboi, that he has little interest one way or the other about their music catalog. It's not that he hates them, it's that they literally don't make any impact one way or the other... but that the documentary on them gave him an appreciation for the work they put in.

I fail to see how that suggests modern music sucks, at all.

I'm not familiar with their music at all, but they seem pretty down to earth. Nick is a pretty good actor from what I've seen of him.

Yeah, that's the take I got from the OP.

There are bands and genres I like, there are some I dislike, and plenty I could never care one way or the other about. But even with the ones I have no musical interest in, a lot of the time the stories on how they got to be where they are, are very interesting.

I was actually very confused about Disney

They said they caught a break by Disney wanting them but then I never really heard much more about Disney in the doc after they said that.

He purchased their trash dishonest (yeah sure they work hard; they would allow a doc that showed them to be lazy wouldn't they) product allowing these tools and the money behind them to have an even bigger stranglehold on the music industry. If you aren't a 16 yo girl, there should be no interest for an honest man in this tripe.

I didn’t purchase shite. I have Amazon Prime. Like another poster stated, I like watching films about music whether I care for their music or not.

I also just watched a lil Wayne doc that I thoroughly enjoyed. Same with Britney Spears, Notorious BIG, 2Pac

About to watch a Guns N Roses doc in the next few days.

Oh, call me a loser for watching Music documentaries- you seem to be the loser who thinks he’s too cool for school to watch a documentary about music you are too cool to listen to.
