Jangles the Clown scene is the EXACT scene from Totoro.
I can't seem to find any site that is discussing this; even google finds 'jangles the clown' but 'no totoro' in the hits.
come on. its the same scene. my 14yo noticed right away so surely its obvious to everyone else as well.
and i'm positive the little horn that falls out of bing bong's bag made the same sound effect as 'tin toys' horn

“They are so great at observation,” Pixar animator Peter Docter (“Inside Out”) told MTV News. “I look at ’My Neighbor Totoro,’ which is beautifully observed, in behavior and just the way Mei will approach things and her expressions and unexpected reactions. There’s a massive scary-looking monster and she gets all excited. It’s so truthful of kids.”
