Insidious the Red Door was a bad movie

It was just a shitty remake of the first one with everyone being older and Dalton in college. The pace was painfully slow and boring. It didn’t tie in to the other movies like the rest of the series. The plot was very straightforward, no real mysteries or surprises. The monsters rarely appeared and they weren’t scary.
They could have just done away with the first 45 minutes entirely, included Specs and Tucker in something more than a 30 second YouTube video, or done something crazy like Josh getting trapped in hell to somewhat save the movie
The movie was a huge disappointment to end a series that was actually pretty good.

How would you rank the movies in the series? I've only seen the first one but I thought it was pretty fantastic as far as modern horror movies go. The baby monitor, guy in the curtain, the corner scene, the drawing scene - some really good moments

1. Chapter 2
2. Insidious (the first one)
3. Chapter 3
4. The Last Key
5. The Red Door
The original Insidious was awesome but I think the second one is better than the first one. Chapter 3 was decent IMO, and the Last Key was okay

I enjoyed the first two and third was OK. I was hoping #4 would be good but not sounding good.

Agreed, was terrible.
