I've always liked him as an actor, I just don't like him in roles where he seems like he's trying way too hard i.e. his southern accent in Con Air. But he's been brilliant in several roles.
Also, I look for him to have a Matthew McConaughy like resurgence with his upcoming projects.

I have always found this to be an underrated movie.
I thought he fit the character in the National Treasure movies really well. Those are guilty pleasures of mine. Wish they'd make a third one.
Like others have said, good actor, takes any role.
