Another big yes. It's not perfect - as mentioned, the last 2 seasons have some issues, but the ending is pretty big. There are a few "wow" moments. The authors really tried to ground the books in realistic science with minimal departures from what we think can be done. No magic faster than light drives, etc.

There are 9 books total, so 3 more after the 6 seasons/books that the series covers. There is a 30 year gap from 6 to 7, so it made sense to stop or pause the series where they did. There have been pretty strong hints that they are not completely done. (Though given what Amazon has done recently with Good Omens S2 and The Wheel of Time, I'd be fine with patiently hoping that ideological social agendas cycle back down before a new Expanse effort is done.)

I liked his character, but apparently that actor is a real life piece of shite.

he was a casualty of the MeToo movement... did he do some creepy things.... probably.... did he do all the sick shite those women claimed... probably not.

He got accused by over 30+ women, including some that were under 18. I don’t necessarily inherently believe all accusations, but tend to believe smoke/fire generalities. It’s a lot different if it’s a one on one he said/she said type of deal.

First couple seasons are good when they’re following the books. When they learned that they SyFy was going to cancel them after Season 3 and they cram both books 3 and 4 into one season that it drops off a bit. The last 3 seasons that Amazon made were disappointing to me.

Just listen to the audiobooks, the narrator is fantastic. The TV show never really finishes the story either, with the books there’s 3 whole novels that happen that the TV show never gets around to. Plus a whole handful of novellas and short stories that further flesh out the universe.

They actually get some of their physics straight.

The show abandons some of it early on due to budget constraints. Namely the physical appearance of the Belters.

The books are hard sci-fi as it gets with everything human related

This has been on my To-Do List for a while (audible/books). Unfortunately, like most of us To-Do doesn't always get gone.

Btw, as a side note Cara Gee as Drummer is lights outs.

Probably not the best pic, but I'm all in.

First three or four seasons are amazing. Some of the best sci-fi ever. . It gets a little slow aseasons 4 & 5 and then six has its moments but definitely is a drop off. Just my two cents.

Season 3 is some of the best sci-fi I’ve ever watched.

I admit there were moments as I was reading the later books that I was tearing up just contemplating the grief of having to say goodbye. That is how much I loved most of the characters in the books, and they did a good job of bringing those great characters into the show.

If people wanna see legitimately bad arse chicks in science fiction, the expanse has them. Drummer, Draper, Julie Mao & Avasarala. Not lame ‘wahmen’ inserts, but great characters.

The annoying arse accent is probably pretty close.

You guys have got to come up with a better way of asking for non-spoiler reviews.

I mean, hell, it has 6 seasons and an 8.5 rating on IMDb.

Worth watching? No dude, not even worth watching. A busy man like you? No way.

They later had a fairly fat or round belter (the dad in The Killings). Thankfully they didn’t trying to do anything with Naomi. She became more attractive than expected in season 2.

The accents and the victimhood of the Belters can get a little annoying, but some of better characters were also Belters.

On a different note it was at first strange to hear Shohreh Aghdashloo cussing as her character, but it soon became expected.

Looks like it’s got quite a few seasons, and seems to be right up my alley being apart of the sci-fi genre. Anybody seen it?

Amos is one of my all-time favorite sci-fi characters.

I read the books after watching the first season. Fantastic story. Done fairly well.

Same here. Series was so good that I grabbed the books which were even better.
